Východ, ukáž sa

European Solidarity Corps project- Východ, ukáž sa 1 and 2

We, a group of Slovakian students from the eastern part of the country, came together to create a European Solidarity Corps project called “Východ, ukáž sa” (which means “Eastern Slovakia, show yourself” in English). Our goal was to promote our little-known region and its rich cultural heritage to the rest of Europe.

We were determined to showcase our region in a creative and engaging way, so we decided to use a variety of mediums, including a blog and videos. We created a blog to document our journey and share our experiences with others. We also created a series of short videos, which we shared on social media, to give viewers a glimpse into Eastern Slovakia’s culture, history and natural beauty.

We visited different places in Eastern Slovakia to capture the essence of its culture, customs, traditions and natural beauty. We interviewed local residents, artisans, and experts to learn more about the region’s history and culture. We also captured breathtaking landscapes and scenic views to showcase the natural beauty of Eastern Slovakia.

The videos we created were well-received and generated a lot of interest in Eastern Slovakia. Our blog also attracted a lot of visitors and we received many positive comments and feedback. We were thrilled to see that our project was having a positive impact and raising awareness about Eastern Slovakia’s culture and heritage.

It was a valuable experience for us as we learn about our own culture and traditions, and it also helped us to understand and appreciate the diversity of other cultures. We were proud to use our creativity and passion to create a meaningful project that promoted our region and helped to break down prejudices against it. We believe that through our project, we were able to contribute to a more united and tolerant Europe.
